On a gloriously sunny spring day, Carina and Johanna make their first profession of vows in the community. In the presence of Bishop Alan Williams SM they promised to live chaste, poor and obedient for one year during the midday Mass on the solemnity of the Annunciation.

Fr Matt Blake, our chaplain and Fr Chris Brooks concelebrated and two of our Abbotswick volunteers, deacon Paul and Mike, served the Mass which was well attended by family and friends. Aimee, a friend of Carina from university days, had travelled from Paris to play the flute during and at the end of Mass. The two ‘wedding’ cakes were a mirror reflection of each other and one was later brought up to Walsingham to share with friends at the shrine. Please join us in thanking God for the gift or these two new sisters. We are can now truly call ourselves a founding group 🙂
