Discernment Weekend with the Community of Our Lady of Walsingham
14TH - 16TH MAY 2010 (tbc)
'Courageous choices are needed at the personal and community level
to rediscover and to show the beauty of following Christ
in a consecrated life'. Benedict XVI
If you have been searching, dreaming, thinking, asking and praying about your future, you are invited to attend a Discernment Retreat for single, Catholic women (ages 18-35), who are considering a choice of religious life. You will join other women who have also been thinking about life in a religious congregation and are interested in this new religious community.
In addition to various presentations that will help you understand the beauty of following God's call in the Third Millenium, you will have time for your own quiet reflection and prayer.
Give yourself the time and opportunity to ask your questions, to share with others who have similar questions and dreams, and to listen to God's response. Make connections and find ways to fulfil your deep desire to make a difference.
If you wish to offer a small donation (we suggest £30-£40 depending on means) to help cover the cost of the retreat, you will have an opportunity to do so at the end of the experience. Please bring: personal items, writing materials, bible, walking shoes/boots.
