Before coming to Walsingham and meeting the Sisters, I’m confident yet sorrowful to say that Our Blessed Lady played no role in my life whatsoever, and it was foolhardy of me to believe that I could get through life without the motherly care that I now experience afresh from her every day.

The Sisters here at The Community of Our Lady of Walsingham really are like older sisters to me: whether it is a cultural chat with Sr Gabi, or talking to Sr Jo about her life in London, or going to Catholic youth events with Sr Teresa, they all exude genuine joy, faith and live radical, self-less lives for “love of God and love of neighbour”, something which has touched me profoundly. I know for a fact that when I spend time in the COLW Family, I’ll be sure to receive a warm greeting and engage in a thought-provoking chat, with everything of course conducted within in the Divine Will.

When I was in High School and Sixth Form, I found it difficult to make friends, and due to my quiet nature and unique interests, I was the subject of much bullying, though I always trusted in my heart that Jesus had something better for me in years to come. The Sisters have in fact educated me in how to better conduct myself in my Christian faith and towards others, and cultivating my gifts from God, something which I never got the chance to do at school.

In addition, they have all supported me, namely Sister Camilla, in helping me to explore different vocations, thereby opening myself more to the idea of becoming a brother and a priest, something which has been on my heart since I was 16 or 17. Furthermore, I highly recommend the Discernment Weekends here at Dowry House hosted by the COLW Sisters: anyone thinking of a vocation to Holy Matrimony or the Sacrament of Orders, or even just want to know more about Christ, I warmly invite you to attend these retreats and meet the Sisters!

In conclusion, the COLW Family has been instrumental in rekindling my personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church, now leaving an indelible mark on my soul. Thanks to COLW, I now try to live my life to the fullest, I regularly evangelize on social media and in day-to-day life, I attend Holy Mass both in Walsingham and at university, visit Jesus in Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament and pray the Holy Rosary now more than ever All this along with frequent nourishment from the Bible and the lives of the Saints and my love for the unborn, aged, handicapped and homeless has been realized and augmented, because of the witness of the COLW Sisters. I am of the surest confidence that Christ and his Blessed Mother have lead me to these wonderful future saints.

Our Lady of Walsingham, ora pro nobis
